The study will be based on a survey research on Malaysian SMEs in the manufacturing sector. The study will among other things achieve the following objectives:
1.To identify the various approaches of TQM implemented by the Malaysian SMEs in the manufacturing sector.
2.To survey the awareness of TQM principles and practices in the manufacturing companies.
3.To determine the level of success achieved by the Malaysian SMEs in the TQM programs.
4.To identify the core principles of TQM in the Malaysian SMEs.
5.To identify dominant factors of TQM principles and practices.
6.To promote a deeper understanding of TQM as an effective approach in enhancing the competitive edge of SMEs in the light of trade globalization.
7.To obtain a TQM implementation model for Malaysian SMEs.
